I am presenting a workshop at the 2010 Literacy Texas Conference in Austin. The topic is how literacy programs can better work with public libraries. Specifically, how to understand what is going on when they seem resistant and how to get past that barrier. The slides for my presentation are available by following this link.
Sponsors receive logo space on food collection boxes which are placed in libraries in Tarrant Area Food Bank counties. The food collected goes to the food bank, and the funds raised through sponsorship are distributed to basic literacy programs in the form of grants.
Who Should Attend? Literacy Programs, Literacy Coalitions, Executive Directors, Board Members, Adult Education providers and anyone interested in literacy.
This Years Theme? "Developing Literacy SuperHeroes"

In fact, we would like to get as many libraries as possible on this list. Attached is the form that needs to be completed and returned to Debbie Johnson to add you to the listserv.
